If your plans have changed and you’re unable to make the swim on June 10, please cancel your place or let us know so we can do so. We have a waiting list and they would appreciate your consideration 🙂
You will still have made a donation to the upkeep of the Swim Buoys and to the RNLI and also allowed someone else to contribute and participate.
We do not allow transfers and there are no entries on the day.

Just two weeks to go and preparations are well progressed.
With 350 swimmers entered, we need as much help as we can get on the water.
Anyone available to provide support in a kayak or RIB, we would love to hear from you.
Please contact Bernard Lynch on 086-2257058 if you are available on the evening – Monday, June 10.

Far be it from me to trot out tired clichés or ould slogans but, like, if you’re not in – you can’t win. Don’t be getting a bee in your bonnet and chasing me like a bull in a china shop when the last THREE places are gone. It’s a fate worse than death to have to stand on the beach like a fish out of water and watch all the others swim off into the sunset on June 10.

Good news today that we are to receive some funding towards the cost of the maintenance of the buoys. Following an application by Bernard Lynch and myself, we have been allocated a grant of €3,110 from Cork County Council. Further funding will be raised from the swim on June 10 to cover expected annual costs of €6,500 or so. They’re great – but they’re not cheap!!
