Thanks to the 100 people who have entered already for the Church Bay Swim on June 27. We are raising funds for the Buoys and the RNLI, so keep those entries coming! We’ll need to get more people to fill the steps like last year 🙂
We’ve received confirmation of an Amenity Grant of €1,965 from Cork County Council. It’s very welcome, but does leave us €5,020 short of the quoted cost of replacing and maintaining the Buoys for 2025. We’ll be relying heavily on the Church Bay Swim on June 27th, so get entering 🙂
This will be good crack. By way of reassurance, I will NOT be one of the speakers and I have it in writing that Bernard won’t be either. So, all safe there – book away.
FROM NED –
The first 28 have registered: a few solos and other “pods of swimmers” did a collection and bought tables.
The dinner cost is 50 euro. It is a small gesture – but anyone who put in more than 16 hours of volunteer time in 2024 (organizing, crewing, timekeeping, etc.) can register for 40 Euro. A table of 8 is 350 Euro.
Ideally pay by Revolut (ned.denison@corkopenwater.com 087 987 1573). PLEASE add your email address to the note – and contact me if you don’t get email confirmation within a week. Email me if you want a bank IBAN number. We can open a credit card booking facility – but there will be a booking fee.
