Tom was on the beach almost every day and Siobhan Russell has a lot of pictures to prove it. I have put some to suitable music to remind us how much he loved his daily swim and the craic, uplifting the spirits of all of us. As he’d often ask – “Where would you get it?”. For Tom, nowhere else – only in Myrtleville.
Hi Damian,
Beautiful tribute to Tom, can I repost on the WhatsApp groups?
Thanks
Aisling

Rip Tom Birmingham you will be missed by everyone ❤❤
Thank you for the lovely tribute to Tom. The love and energy of the sea drew us in for a swim everyday. Thank you Tom for all the wonderful years of friendship and all the great waves we shared. Our deepest condolences to Kathleen, Kathy, Grace, Edel and family. Pat, Marie and Michelle xxx
Thank you so much. We all look forward to seeing Pat at the beach each day. It would not be the same without him. Damian O’Neill
Thank you for this beautiful tribute to our Dad. We are so grateful and humbled. He was a kind and loving father and he instilled his love of life, fun and the sea in us and his grandchildren. Thank you for your companionship and kindness to him over the years. You are an amazing group! Grace.
Thanks so much, Grace. Like so many others I met Tom with Pat on my very first day on the beach about ten years ago. Bernard Lynch said to me as we got out of the water, “come over here and meet these men. They are what it’s all about, swimming in Myrtleville”. He was so right. It was an honour to know Tom and we will all miss his smile and enthusiasm every day. Damian O’Neill
Thank you all ,you were like a second family to my father ,it brought him great joy to swim with you and count you all amongst his friends young and old.
Edel xx
